Frequently Asked Questions about World Takeover Simulator

What is World Takeover Simulator?
A free strategy game you play in the browser. You are a comic villain with a lair, a cat and a plan. Pick a first base, then spread your fan club across 46 regions of a real world map with TV, the Internet, trade routes and secret agents. Win when every region has joined, before the Agency finishes its counter-plan. No download and no account.
How do I win?
Get every region to 100%. People join faster with Lure upgrades, new routes come from Spread upgrades, and Cunning upgrades slow the Agency. The Agency wakes up when the alarm gets high (or after a while anyway), and its counter-plan bar is your clock. Every region you win over takes research away from it.
What is the alarm?
The alarm is how much the world has noticed you. Loud upgrades and joined regions raise it. When it passes a line the Agency wakes up, and a higher alarm makes it work faster. Fake Moustaches and Low Profile bring it down.
How do I reach islands?
Islands can close their ports when the alarm is high, which stops trade. TV still reaches nearby islands, and agents can go anywhere: tap the region and press Send agents. No region is ever out of reach.
What is the Finale?
When 60% of the world has joined, the Finale opens. Each Finale upgrade, like the Moon Billboard, starts a 10-week Grand Reveal: people everywhere join much faster, but the Agency works faster too. It is a race to the end.
What is the Daily Scheme?
Every day there is one Daily Scheme with the same villain, starting region and twist for every player, on Normal. Your first finish counts; share your result and keep a streak. You can practise again as much as you like.
Is it safe for school?
Yes. The spread-across-the-map loop will feel familiar to fans of map strategy games, but nothing nasty happens and nobody is hurt. Regions join your fan club through jingles, gadgets and free ice cream. It saves in your browser with no login.
How long is a game?
A run is about 8 to 12 minutes at normal speed. You can pause at any time, and the game pauses itself for every event card. Speed x2 and x3 make it shorter. A run saves in your browser, so you can come back to it.

About World Takeover Simulator

World Takeover Simulator is a free take over the world game. You play an evil genius from an old spy movie, with a volcano lair, loyal henchmen and a very smug cat. Your plan is simple: win the whole world over, one region at a time. The map is a real world map split into 46 regions, from Canada and Brazil to the Nordics, the Sahel and the Pacific Islands. Each region fills with your colour as its people join your fan club.

Your influence spreads four ways. TV reaches next-door regions, the Internet jumps to places with good connections, trade routes link the big ports, and secret agents can go anywhere, even islands that closed their ports. Spend your Schemes on 34 upgrades in three trees and a Finale, answer about 40 funny event cards, and watch the news ticker for the world's reaction. Meanwhile the Agency, a team of heroes, works on a counter-plan. The louder you are, the sooner they wake and the faster they work.

Win with five villains: the Tycoon, the Influencer, the Inventor, the Mad Scientist and the Cat Boss, each opened by a win. Earn a star for each villain on Easy, Normal and Hard. The Daily Scheme gives everyone the same start and twist each day. Nobody is hurt and nothing nasty happens: it is all jingles, gadgets and free ice cream.

How to Play

  1. Pick a villain and a difficulty

  3. Tap gold bubbles for Schemes and teal bubbles to slow the Agency
