What is Life Simulator?
Life Simulator is a free text life game in the style of BitLife. You start as a newborn baby, then use the Occupation, Assets, Relationships and Activities tabs to shape your life. Take as many actions as you like each year, then press Age to move on. Play in the browser with no download.
Is Life Simulator similar to BitLife?
Yes. It uses the same loop: a life journal, four stats (Happiness, Health, Smarts, Looks), an Age button, random events with choices, a yearly job board, property and cars, relationships with their own actions, and a ribbon when your life ends. Everything is free and there are no paid careers.
How do careers work?
Open Occupation to see the job board, part-time jobs, freelance gigs, a job recruiter and the military. Each job lists its salary and requirements. Apply, answer an interview question, then work harder, ask for raises and promotions, or retire on a pension after a long career.
What can I do with my money?
Buy properties that gain value, cars that lose it, pets, jewellery and instruments in Assets. Try the lottery, blackjack or horse races, go on holiday, or pay for lessons and treatments. Rent, upkeep, tax and family costs are taken every year.
Can I save my life and return later?
The game saves your life in this browser when local storage is available. Choose Continue life when you return. Clearing browser data removes this save; private browsing or blocked storage may prevent saving.
Can I play Life Simulator on mobile?
Yes. The tab bar sits at the bottom of the game on phones and tablets, and everything works with touch. On desktop you can also press A to age up and 1 to 4 to pick event choices.
What happens when my character dies?
You get a tombstone with your cause of death, career, family, net worth and a ribbon that sums up the life you lived. Ribbons and achievements are collected across lives, and your age is the score used by the Life League leaderboard.

About Life Simulator

Life Simulator is a free BitLife-style text game. Start as a child, finish school or drop out, pick a career from a yearly job board, take part-time work or freelance gigs, join the military, buy property and cars, fall in love, raise a family and deal with whatever each year throws at you. Do as much as you want in a year, then press Age. Every life ends with a tombstone and a ribbon, and ribbons and achievements are collected across lives. When saving is available you can leave and continue in the same browser later.

How to Play

  1. Choose Play for a random life, or customize a name, gender and starting age first
  2. Use the Occupation, Assets, Relationships and Activities tabs to take as many actions as you like each year
  3. Press Age to move on: earn your salary, pay your bills and respond to the events of the year
  4. Keep Happiness, Health, Smarts and Looks up, and collect a ribbon when your life ends
