Frequently Asked Questions about Phrazle

How do you play Phrazle?
Phrazle is a phrase-guessing game inspired by Wordle. Instead of guessing a single word, you guess an entire phrase. You get 6 attempts. After each guess, tiles change color: green means correct letter in the correct spot, yellow means the letter is in the phrase but in the wrong position, and gray means the letter is not in the phrase at all.
What kind of phrases does Phrazle use?
Phrazle uses common English idioms and expressions like 'break a leg', 'piece of cake', and 'hit the road'. The phrases are 2 to 4 words long. Word lengths are shown as a hint so you know how many letters each word has.
Is there a daily Phrazle puzzle?
Yes! Phrazle has a daily puzzle that is the same for all players. Your progress is saved so you can come back to it. There is also a practice mode where you can play unlimited random phrases.
How is Phrazle different from Wordle?
While Wordle asks you to guess a single 5-letter word, Phrazle challenges you to guess a full phrase made up of multiple words. The color-coded feedback works the same way, but you need to think about spaces between words and how letters might appear in different positions across the entire phrase.
Can I share my Phrazle results?
Yes! After completing a puzzle, you can share your results as a grid of colored emoji squares, just like Wordle. Click the Share Result button to copy your results to the clipboard.

About Phrazle

Phrazle is a phrase-guessing word puzzle that extends the Wordle concept from single words to entire phrases. Each puzzle contains a multi-word phrase, and you guess it word by word with color-coded feedback for every letter. Green letters are correct and correctly placed within their word, yellow letters appear in the phrase but in a different position, and gray letters are not in the phrase at all. The added complexity of tracking multiple words and their positions simultaneously makes Phrazle significantly more challenging than single-word puzzles. Phrases are drawn from common expressions, sayings, and everyday language. Daily mode provides a shared challenge, while free play offers unlimited puzzles for practice. Strategy involves using early guesses to identify word lengths and common letter positions across the entire phrase.

How to Play

  2. Review the color-coded feedback for each letter across all words
