What is the goal in HexGL?
HexGL is a time-trial racing game. The goal is to complete the laps as fast as you can without crashing into the walls, weaving through the futuristic track at high speed and beating your best time.
Does HexGL need a powerful computer?

About HexGL

HexGL is a fast, futuristic anti-gravity racing game built entirely in the browser by developer Thibaut Despoulain (BKcore). Inspired by classic racers like F-Zero and Wipeout, it puts you in the cockpit of a hovering ship that screams along a neon track suspended over a sprawling cityscape. The game was an early showcase of what WebGL could do, using the three.js engine to render reflective ships, glowing trails, and bloom-lit scenery at high frame rates without any plugins. Your only job is speed: weave through the track, hug the racing line, and use the air brakes to carve tight corners while chasing the fastest possible lap time. There are no weapons and no combat, just pure racing. HexGL is released under the MIT License, which is what lets PlayBrain self-host the original open-source build for you to play here.
