What Is Count Masters?

Count Masters is a crowd-running game where you start with a small group of stickmen and grow your army by collecting more stickmen and choosing the right gates as you sprint through each level. At the end, your crowd battles an enemy crowd — highest number wins. It's simple, satisfying, and almost impossible to stop playing.

How to Play Count Masters

Basic loop:

1. Choose a lane — swipe left/right (mobile) or press arrow keys (desktop) to switch between 3 lanes
2. Collect stickmen — run over stickman figures to add them to your crowd. More people = stronger army
3. Choose gates wisely — each gate modifies your crowd count:

- Green gates: good (×2, ×3, +10, +20, +50)

- Red gates: bad (÷2, −5, −20)

1. Win the battle — at the end of each level, your crowd charges the enemy. If you have more people, you win and advance to the next level

• Desktop: ← → arrow keys to switch lanes
• Mobile: tap left or right side of screen to switch lanes

Gate Strategy: Which Gates to Always Choose

This is where the skill is. Gate choice determines whether you win with a crowd of 2000 or get wiped with 12.

Always prioritize multiply gates

A ×3 gate with 50 people gives you 150. A +50 gate gives you 100. Multiply beats add almost every time — especially when your crowd is already large. Look ahead at both lanes and pick the one with the higher multiplier.

Red gates aren't always death

Sometimes both lanes have red gates. If you must pick one, choose minus (−10) over divide (÷2). A ÷2 gate with 200 people leaves you 100. A −10 gate leaves 190. Division always hurts more when your count is high.

Build before late-level gates

Late levels throw nasty gates just before the enemy battle. A well-timed ×2 or ×3 in the final 30% of the level can double your crowd right before the fight. Sacrifice some stickmen collecting early if it means hitting a high-multiplier gate at the end.

How Scoring Works

After you defeat the enemy crowd, your remaining crowd count becomes your score bonus for that level. A higher crowd surplus = more points. That's why overkill is good — crushing a crowd of 50 with a crowd of 2000 is more satisfying and more profitable than barely winning 55 to 50.
