1. Summary
- Your progress, coins, gems, streak and settings are stored on your device only.
- The app sends anonymous gameplay counts to a server we run, see section 3. It is a fixed list of events and a random identifier the app makes up for itself.
- We hold no personal data: no name, no email, no account, no location, no advertising ID, and nothing you have typed, because there is nothing in this app to type into.
- The app shows adverts through Google AdMob, see section 4.
- The app offers optional in-app purchases (gem packs and Remove ads), paid through Google Play, see section 5. Nothing in the game is locked behind one.
- We do not sell data.
2. What is stored on your device
All of it stays on your phone and is removed when you uninstall. None of it is sent to us.
- Your game: levels solved, stars, best move counts, the daily puzzle and your streak, the endless run, coins, gems, hint and skip packs, the themes you own, and what you have bought.
- Your settings: sound, music, vibration, animations, hints, and whether reminders are on.
- Which tutorial cards you have already seen, and whether the app has already asked you for a rating, so it does not ask twice.
- How often an advert break has been shown, so the app can keep to its own cap.
- The random identifier for this install, and any gameplay counts waiting to be sent (section 3).
Sharing a result. The win card has a Share button. Pressing it hands a short piece of text (the date or level, your moves against par, a strip of coloured squares and your streak) to your phone's own share sheet, and you choose where it goes, if anywhere. The app does not send that text to us and does not learn which app you picked.
3. What the app sends to our own server
The app contains no third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK. It sends anonymous gameplay counts to a server we run at playbrain.games. The identifier attached to them is a random value the app generates on first launch: it is not your advertising ID, not a hardware ID, and not tied to any account, because there is no account. Uninstalling destroys it, and a reinstall is a new install to us. Each batch also carries a session identifier, the app version and the platform.
The complete list of events:

That is all of it. No event carries anything you typed, a price, a currency, a country or a transaction id. app_error carries the kind of error, the screen it happened on and a hashed signature of the code location, never the error's message or a stack trace. Events wait on your device while you are offline and are sent when you are not.
Gameplay diagnostics and optional session recording
In updated versions that include diagnostics, we collect crash categories and a short code-location fingerprint to identify bugs. We do not send exception messages, stack traces, account details or anything you type.
If you choose to allow gameplay recording, PlayBrain can reconstruct a sample of your play using screen changes, taps, timing and game state. This is not video or audio recording. Nonogram captures puzzle marks and Idle Tycoon captures business and currency state. Other games provide action timelines. Recordings use a random session identifier, not your advertising ID.
Recording is off until you allow it. Change your choice in Settings, Gameplay recording. Declining does not affect gameplay, rewards or purchases. Each capture lasts at most ten minutes. Captures become unavailable after seven days and are deleted during our daily cleanup. We use our existing backend, not a third-party session-recording service.
Your choice and at most one pending recording are stored on your device. Recordings are encrypted in transit and available only to our private review tools. We use them to identify bugs and confusing gameplay, not for advertising or tracking across apps.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
There are three kinds, and they are not the same thing:
- Rewarded video you choose. Each one is a button you decide to press, marked AD, that names what it gives you (a hint, a skip, doubled coins) before you press it. Declining costs you nothing you had already earned, and if no advert can be shown the small reward is granted anyway.
- An occasional full-screen advert between levels, on the tap that leaves a board you have finished. Never during a puzzle, never in your first minute or first few levels, and never more often than a fixed cap the app enforces itself.
- A banner strip under the board while you play a level. Never over the board, and never on the home screen, the shop, the daily gift page, the settings sheet or a win card.
The Remove ads purchase takes away the full-screen advert and the banner. It deliberately does not take away the rewarded videos: those are help you asked for.
Before the advertising SDK starts, the app asks Google's consent tool whether consent is needed where you are, and shows the form if it is. You can reopen it from Settings, Privacy options. The app requests non-personalised adverts only.
When an advert is requested, Google receives your device's IP address and may use your device's advertising identifier, coarse location derived from the IP address, and advert interactions to serve, measure and protect adverts. That processing is Google's, under Google's own policy, not ours. We never receive your advertising ID. You can reset or delete it in your phone's settings.
5. In-app purchases
The shop sells gem packs and Remove ads. There are two currencies and they do not mix: coins are only ever earned by playing and buy board themes, and can never be bought; gems can be bought, also arrive in small amounts from the daily puzzle, and buy packs of hints and level skips. A hint or a skip is always also available for a rewarded advert, and Undo and Restart are always free. Every level, the daily puzzle, the endless run and every theme can be reached by playing.
Payment is handled entirely by Google Play: we never see, receive or store your card details, your name, your address or your email. Our own events record a product identifier our code chose, such as numberpath.gems_small, never a price, a currency, a country, a payment method or a transaction id. Restore purchases is in the shop and in Settings, and needs no account. Where a build has the shop closed, it says so and no purchase can be started.
6. Daily reminders
The app can send you a local reminder when the daily puzzle is ready, and a gentle nudge if you have not played for a while. It is off until you switch it on in Settings, and that switch is the only thing that ever asks Android for notification permission. The reminder is scheduled and delivered on your own device: there is no push server, no token and no third party, and we cannot tell whether one was delivered or opened. Turning the switch off cancels everything already scheduled.
7. What the app does not do
- No account, no email address, no password, no sign-in.
- No selling of your data, and no advertising identifier used by us to profile you.
- No location, contacts, photos or microphone. The app plays sound and never records: the microphone permission is explicitly blocked, along with storage, media and the permission to draw over other apps.
8. Children
Number Path is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Nothing in the app asks a player for personal information.
9. Your rights and deleting your data
Resetting progress in Settings clears your game on the device, and uninstalling removes everything the app stored, including the random analytics identifier. Events already sent are anonymous and not linked to a person. If you would like the events from your install deleted, email the address below and we will delete them; there is no account, so nothing else needs to be closed. Events we hold are kept only as long as they are useful for improving the game.
10. Changes
If the app's data practices change, this page is updated before that version ships and the date at the top changes with it.
