Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 September 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Glass Match: Color Puzzle ("the app", "we", "us") handles information. It is a single-player colour matching puzzle. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no messaging and no online play.

1. Summary
- Your progress, settings and unlocked themes are stored on your device only.
- The app sends anonymous gameplay counts to a server we run, see section 3. It is a short, fixed list of events and a random identifier the app makes up for itself.
- We hold no personal data: no name, no email, no account, no location, no advertising ID, nothing you have typed. We have no way to work out who you are.
- The app includes the Google AdMob advertising SDK, see section 4.
- The app has no in-app purchases. Nothing in it can be bought with money. It carries the code for a shop that is not open, which is why the list in section 3 mentions purchases; no price is ever shown and no payment can be made.
- We do not sell data, and there is nothing here that could be sold.
2. What is stored on your device
The app saves the following to your device's local storage, and nowhere else:
- how far through the campaign you are, and your best move count on each level you have finished,
- which days you have completed the daily board, which is what your streak is counted from,
- your stars, which themes you have bought and which one you are wearing,
- your hints, how far up the daily gift ladder you have got, and the high water marks that stop a level paying twice,
- your settings: music, sound effects and vibration, each on or off,
- a short queue of the anonymous events in section 3, held only until they are sent, plus a checkpoint that lets an interrupted session be reported correctly next time,
- whether the rating prompt has already been shown.
None of this is transmitted to us or to anyone else, and all of it is deleted when you uninstall the app.
3. What the app sends to our own server
The app sends a small, fixed list of anonymous events to a server we operate, so we can tell which levels are too hard, where people stop playing, and whether a feature is used at all.
What identifies the data. A random identifier the app generates on first launch and stores on your device. It is not your advertising ID, not your device's hardware ID, and not linked to any account. It is reset if you reinstall the app, and we cannot connect it to you, to another app, or to anything outside this app.
What is sent with every event. The random identifier, a session number, the app version, the platform, and the time.
The complete list of events. Nothing outside this list is sent:
| Event | What it records |
|---|---|
| first_open | the app was opened for the first time after install |
| session_start | a play session began, and how many sessions this install has had |

What is never sent. No personal data, no contacts, no files, no location, no advertising ID, no text you have entered, and no device identifier issued by Android or by Google. These events are held for at most 24 months and are used only in aggregate.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app shows two kinds of advert, and no others:
- Rewarded adverts you choose. Each one is a button you decide to press, it is marked AD, and it names what it gives you before you press it. Declining costs nothing.
- A short advert when you leave a solved board. Never during play, and not in your first few levels.
There is also a banner strip under the board while a board is on screen. It is never over the board and never on a menu, a card or the shop, and the space it takes is reserved whether or not an advert fills it, so nothing moves under your finger. The "Remove ads" purchase takes it away along with the full-screen break.
Adverts are served by Google AdMob. When an advert is requested, Google receives your device's IP address and may use an advertising identifier and similar technologies to select and measure adverts. That processing is Google's, under Google's own policies, not ours. We never receive it.
Your choices. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID, and opt out of personalised advertising, in Settings, Privacy, Ads. In the UK, the EEA and Switzerland the app asks for your consent before any personalised advert is served, using Google's own consent form. You can change that answer at any time from the Privacy options row in the app's settings menu.
Gameplay diagnostics and optional session recording
In updated versions that include diagnostics, we collect crash categories and a short code-location fingerprint to identify bugs. We do not send exception messages, stack traces, account details or anything you type.
If you choose to allow gameplay recording, PlayBrain can reconstruct a sample of your play using screen changes, taps, timing and game state. This is not video or audio recording. Nonogram captures puzzle marks and Idle Tycoon captures business and currency state. Other games provide action timelines. Recordings use a random session identifier, not your advertising ID.
Recording is off until you allow it. Change your choice in Settings, Gameplay recording. Declining does not affect gameplay, rewards or purchases. Each capture lasts at most ten minutes. Captures become unavailable after seven days and are deleted during our daily cleanup. We use our existing backend, not a third-party session-recording service.
Your choice and at most one pending recording are stored on your device. Recordings are encrypted in transit and available only to our private review tools. We use them to identify bugs and confusing gameplay, not for advertising or tracking across apps.
5. Daily reminders
The app can send you a local reminder that your daily gift is ready, and a nudge if you have not played for a couple of days. It is off until you switch it on in Settings, and that switch is the only thing that ever asks Android for notification permission: the app never asks at launch.
They are local, which is the part that matters here. The reminder is scheduled on your own device by Android and fires there. Nothing is sent to a server, there is no push service, no token and no third party involved, and we cannot tell whether one was delivered or whether you opened it. Turning the switch off cancels everything already scheduled, and so does revoking the permission in your phone's settings: the switch checks with Android every time the app comes back to the screen, and turns itself off if the permission has gone.
6. Children
The app is not directed to children. Its target audience on Google Play is 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect anything from a child, and there is nothing in the app that could identify one.
7. Permissions
The app requests one runtime permission, and only if you ask it to: notifications, when you switch the daily reminder on in Settings (section 5). It never asks at launch, and declining costs you nothing but the reminder. It does not use the camera, the microphone, your location, your contacts, or your files. Network access is used only to send the anonymous events in section 3 and to request adverts. The app is fully playable offline, apart from adverts.
8. Security
Everything the app sends travels over HTTPS. Because we hold no personal data, a breach of our event store could not identify anyone.
9. Your rights
We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing to access, correct or export. If you want the anonymous events from your installation removed, email [email protected] and we will delete the rows for your random identifier if you can tell us what it is. Uninstalling the app stops all collection immediately.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and a material change will be described in the app's store listing. Adding any new event to the list in section 3 requires this page to be updated in the same release.
