1. Summary

2. What is stored on your device

All of it stays on your phone and goes when you uninstall. None of it is sent to us.

3. What the app sends to our own server

The app sends anonymous gameplay counts to a server we run at playbrain.games. It is switched off during development and on the web. The identifier attached to them is a random value the app generates on first launch: it is not your advertising ID, not a hardware ID, and not tied to any account, because there is no account. Uninstalling destroys it, and a reinstall is a new install to us.

The complete list of events:

That is all of it. The app has no free-text field anywhere, so nothing you type can reach us, and it never sends the contents of a board or anything about your device beyond the platform it runs on.

Gameplay diagnostics and optional session recording

In updated versions that include diagnostics, we collect crash categories and a short code-location fingerprint to identify bugs. We do not send exception messages, stack traces, account details or anything you type.

If you choose to allow gameplay recording, PlayBrain can reconstruct a sample of your play using screen changes, taps, timing and game state. This is not video or audio recording. Nonogram captures puzzle marks and Idle Tycoon captures business and currency state. Other games provide action timelines. Recordings use a random session identifier, not your advertising ID.

Recording is off until you allow it. Change your choice in Settings, Gameplay recording. Declining does not affect gameplay, rewards or purchases. Each capture lasts at most ten minutes. Captures become unavailable after seven days and are deleted during our daily cleanup. We use our existing backend, not a third-party session-recording service.

Your choice and at most one pending recording are stored on your device. Recordings are encrypted in transit and available only to our private review tools. We use them to identify bugs and confusing gameplay, not for advertising or tracking across apps.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

There are three kinds, and they are not the same thing:

The Remove ads purchase takes away the full-screen advert and the banner. It deliberately does not take away the rewarded videos: those are help you asked for, and removing them would be a downgrade sold as an upgrade.

Before the advertising SDK starts, the app asks Google's consent tool whether consent is needed where you are, and shows the form if it is. If you decline, the app runs with advertising switched off rather than falling back to something else, and you can still play everything. You can reopen the form at any time from Settings, Privacy options. The app also requests non-personalised adverts only.

When an advert is requested, Google receives your device's IP address and may use an advertising identifier to select and measure adverts. That processing is Google's, under Google's own policy, not ours. We never receive your advertising ID.

5. In-app purchases

The app carries the code to sell pencils — the help currency — a starter set, and an option to remove the adverts you did not ask for. The shop is not open yet: no product exists in Play, no price is shown, and no payment can be made. The eight iap_* events in section 3 are emitted by that code regardless, which is why they are listed there.

Coins can never be bought. They are earned by playing and buy colour themes; letting money buy them would make every theme price meaningless. Only the help currency is for sale.

When the shop does open, payment is handled entirely by Google Play: we never see, receive or store your card details, your name, your address or your email, and there is no third party between you and Google. What our own events record is a product identifier our own code chose, such as crossmath.pencils_small, and an internal price TIER such as t1 — never a price, a currency, a country, a payment method or a transaction id.

6. Daily reminders

The app can send you a local reminder that your daily gift is ready, and a nudge if you have not played for a couple of days. It is off until you switch it on in Settings, and that switch is the only thing that ever asks Android for notification permission: the app never asks at launch.

They are local, which is the part that matters here. The reminder is scheduled on your own device by Android and fires there. Nothing is sent to a server, there is no push service, no token and no third party involved, and we cannot tell whether one was delivered or whether you opened it. Turning the switch off cancels everything already scheduled, and so does revoking the permission in your phone's settings: the switch checks with Android every time the app comes back to the screen and turns itself off if the permission has gone.

7. What the app does not do

8. Children

Crossmath is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Nothing in the app asks a player for personal information.

9. Your rights and deleting your data

Uninstalling removes everything the app stored, including the random analytics identifier. Events already sent are anonymous and not linked to a person, so there is nothing tied to you for us to delete. If you would like the events from a particular install removed, write to the address below with the install id and we will delete them.

10. Changes

If the app's data practices change, this page is updated before that version ships and the date at the top changes with it.
