1. Summary

2. What is stored on your device

The app saves the following to your device's local storage, and nowhere else:

None of this is transmitted to us or to anyone else, and all of it is deleted when you uninstall the app.

3. What the app sends to our own server

The app sends a small, fixed list of anonymous events to a server we operate, so we can tell which puzzles are too hard, where people stop playing, and whether a feature is used at all.

What identifies the data. A random identifier the app generates on first launch and stores on your device. It is not your advertising ID, not your device's hardware ID, and not linked to any account. It is reset if you reinstall the app, and we cannot connect it to you, to another app, or to anything outside this app.

What is sent with every event. The random identifier, a session number, the app version, the platform, and the time.

The complete list of events. Nothing outside this list is sent:

What is never sent. No personal data, no contacts, no files, no location, no advertising ID, no text you have entered, and no device identifier issued by Android or by Google. These events are held for at most 24 months and are used only in aggregate.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app shows three kinds of advert, and no others:

There are no full-screen adverts when the app opens.

Adverts are served by Google AdMob. When an advert is requested, Google receives your device's IP address and may use an advertising identifier and similar technologies to select and measure adverts. That processing is Google's, under Google's own policies, not ours. We never receive it.

Before the advertising SDK is started at all, the app asks Google's consent form for your choice, and passes it on. Where that form applies, the app requests non-personalised adverts. You can reopen the form at any time from Settings, and change your mind.

Google's own policy: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

5. In-app purchases

The app offers optional purchases: packs of coins, a starter pack, and one that removes the adverts between puzzles. Coins buy hints. Everything the game contains can be reached without paying, and there is no paywall on any puzzle.

Purchases are handled entirely by Google Play Billing. Your payment details go to Google and never to us: we do not see or store a card number, a name, a billing address or a country.

What we do record, as one of the anonymous events in section 3, is which product identifier was offered and whether the purchase completed, was cancelled, is pending or failed. That identifier is a name our own code chose, such as the coin pack size. It carries no price, no currency, no country and no transaction id.

6. Daily reminders

The app can send you a local reminder that your daily gift is ready, and a nudge if you have not played for a couple of days. It is off until you switch it on in Settings, and that switch is the only thing that ever asks Android for notification permission: the app never asks at launch.

They are local, which is the part that matters here. The reminder is scheduled on your own device by Android and fires there. Nothing is sent to a server, there is no push service, no token and no third party involved, and we cannot tell whether one was delivered or whether you opened it. Turning the switch off cancels everything already scheduled, and so does revoking the permission in your phone's settings: the switch checks with Android every time the app comes back to the screen, and turns itself off if the permission has gone.

7. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. There is nothing in it to type into, and no way to contact another player.

8. Your choices

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the new version is published here before the build it describes is released.
