Frequently Asked Questions about Tentrix

How do you play Tentrix?
You receive 3 block shapes at a time. Place them on the 10x10 grid by dragging or tapping. When you fill a complete row or column, it clears and you earn bonus points. Use all 3 pieces to get a new set. The game ends when none of your remaining blocks can fit on the board.
What is the best strategy for Tentrix?
Keep the center of the board clear and build from the edges. Always think about where all 3 pieces will go before placing the first one. Try to set up multiple row and column clears at once for combo bonuses. Avoid leaving isolated gaps that only small pieces can fill.
Is Tentrix free to play online?
Yes! Play Tentrix on PlayBrain completely free in your browser. No downloads, no sign-ups, no ads blocking gameplay. Works on desktop and mobile.
How is Tentrix different from Tetris?
In Tentrix, blocks don't fall from above. Instead you place them anywhere on a 10x10 grid. Both rows and columns can clear (not just rows like in Tetris). There is no time pressure, so it is more strategic and relaxing. You also get 3 pieces at a time instead of one.
What is a good score in Tentrix?
Beginners typically score 200 to 800 points. Intermediate players reach 1,000 to 3,000. Expert players can score 5,000 or more by consistently setting up multi-line clears and building long combos.

About Tentrix

Tentrix is a relaxing yet strategic block puzzle played on a 10x10 grid. Unlike Tetris, blocks do not fall from the sky. Instead, you receive three random shapes at a time and place them anywhere on the board. Clearing a complete row or column removes those cells and awards bonus points. The goal is to keep placing blocks for as long as possible while preventing the grid from filling up. Setting up multi-line clears and building long combos is the key to high scores. Beginners typically score a few hundred points, while experienced players can surpass 5,000 by thinking several moves ahead. The turn-based pacing makes Tentrix an excellent puzzle for short brain breaks or extended strategy sessions. Free to play online with no download needed.
