What is Mope Evolution?
Mope Evolution is a free browser-based animal evolution game inspired by mope.io. You start as a tiny mouse and eat food to gain XP, evolving through 10 animal tiers from mouse all the way up to the mighty Black Dragon. Compete against AI bots in a 5000x5000 arena with land, water, and desert biomes.
How do I evolve to the next animal?
Eat berries (green dots, 10 XP), mushrooms (brown dots, 30 XP), and meat dropped by defeated animals (100 XP) to fill your XP bar. When you reach the XP threshold for the next tier, you automatically evolve into a bigger, stronger animal with a new special ability. There are 10 tiers total, from Mouse to Black Dragon.
How does eating other animals work?
You can eat any animal that is one or more tiers below you by touching them. Eating an animal gives you large XP based on their tier. Be careful though, any animal one or more tiers above you can eat you! Same-tier animals can damage each other with abilities but cannot eat each other.
What are the biomes and how do they affect gameplay?
The arena has three biomes: green land (default, normal speed), blue water areas (rivers and lakes where crocodiles and hippos swim at normal speed but other animals slow to 50%), and tan desert at the map edges (all animals slow to 70%). Use biomes strategically to escape predators or corner prey.
What abilities do the animals have?
Each animal has a unique ability activated with Space or the on-screen button. Mouse can hide (50% opacity), Rabbit hops forward, Fox sprints at 2x speed, Deer dashes, Lion roars to stun nearby enemies, Crocodile bites with a lunge, Hippo charges with knockback, Elephant stomps for area damage, Dragon breathes fire, and Black Dragon uses dark fire that also heals.
