How do mutations work?

Mutations stack across evolutions so you get stronger with each tier.
What are toxic zones and why should I enter them?
Toxic zones are 4 purple areas on the map that deal 3 damage per second while inside. However, they spawn special toxic food worth 3x normal XP. It is a high risk, high reward strategy to enter toxic zones for fast leveling, especially with Regeneration or Thick Skin mutations.
What are the best mutation combos?
Regeneration plus Thick Skin lets you farm toxic zones safely. Venomous plus Speed Burst makes you a deadly predator since ability use poisons and speeds you up. Camouflage plus Venomous lets you ambush prey with poison. Every combo has unique strengths depending on your playstyle.
How does the evolution tier system work?
There are 10 tiers: Mouse, Rabbit, Fox, Deer, Lion, Crocodile, Hippo, Elephant, Dragon, and Black Dragon. Each has unique abilities like roar (stun), charge, stomp (AoE), fire breath, and dark fire. You can eat animals 1 or more tiers below you, and higher tier animals can eat you.
