Frequently Asked Questions about One Turret

What is One Turret?
One Turret is a free tower defense game you play in your browser. One turret sits in the middle of the arena and fires on its own while enemies walk in from every side. You decide what it becomes: each time the blue bar fills, the battle pauses and you pick one of three cards.
How does merging work?
The turret holds one of each weapon. Pick a weapon you do not have and you get it at level 1. Pick one you already hold and the copy merges into it: level 2 takes 1 copy, level 3 takes 2 more, level 4 takes 4 and level 5 takes 8. Every copy makes the weapon hit harder at once, and each level changes how it looks and fights. The Cannon becomes a Twin Cannon, then a Rotary Cannon, a Piercing Rotary and finally a Railgun.
Should I take every weapon?
Usually not. Every pick goes to one weapon, so spreading your picks over many weapons leaves all of them weak. Two or three weapons pushed to high levels hold out far longer than five weapons at level 2. When a pick would finish a level, its card glows.
What weapons are there?
You start with the Cannon, which shoots the nearest enemy, the Shock Coil, whose lightning jumps between enemies, and the Frost Ring, which slows everything near the turret. Reaching further waves opens Guard Orbs that circle the turret, the Mortar with its wide blasts and the Laser, a steady beam on the toughest enemy in range. More weapons open up as you keep playing.
How many stages are there?
Two hundred, across five arenas: the Foundry, the Mire, the Dunes, the Glacier and the Night. Every stage ends when you destroy its boss, on wave 11 to 16 depending on the stage. After your first few runs Endless opens too, where the waves never stop and a boss arrives every fifth wave.
What do coins buy?
Every run pays coins, win or lose. Spend them in Upgrades on permanent power such as Damage, Armor, Salvage for more coins and Head Start for free picks at the start of a run. More upgrades open as you clear stages, and they carry over to every later run.
Is One Turret free?
Yes. One Turret is free to play on PlayBrain, with no download and no sign-up. Your coins, upgrades and stages save in this browser, so use the same browser to carry on where you left off.

About One Turret

One Turret is tower defense cut down to one decision: what should the turret become next? There is no map to build on and nothing to aim. A single turret sits in the middle of the arena and enemies walk in from every direction, a few at first and then in swarms, with a boss at the end of every stage. Each time the bar fills the battle pauses and offers three cards. A new weapon arrives at level 1; a copy of a weapon you already hold merges into it, hits harder at once and, when the level is complete, changes shape: two barrels, then a rotary, then a railgun. The real choice is focus or spread, because every pick goes to only one weapon. Clear the stages one boss at a time across five arenas, spend the coins every run pays on permanent upgrades, and open Endless to see how many waves you can hold.
