What is Idle Business Tycoon?
Idle Business Tycoon is a free browser idle game. You start with odd jobs, buy a Lemonade Stand, and grow a business empire through eight ages, from a street corner to an interstellar company. Every unit you own earns money every second, even while the page is closed.
How do I start?
Tap WORK to earn your first few dollars, then buy a Lemonade Stand. Keep buying units and the cash starts coming in by itself. Open a Manager on a business to triple what it earns, and use the Better pay button to make every WORK tap worth more.
What do Managers do?
A Manager triples the income of one business, and every further level multiplies it again by 1.5. Managers cost more than units, so the first one is a real decision early on.
What are Ages?
There are eight Ages, Hustle, Main Street, Industry, Frontier, Empire, Global, Orbital and Interstellar. Paying to advance to the next Age reveals a new set of ten businesses and gives your older businesses a bonus, so it is worth doing whenever you can afford it.
What does Cash Out do?
When you have earned enough in a run, Cash Out trades the whole empire for Angel Tokens. You start again with nothing, but the tokens buy permanent perks such as more income, cheaper purchases and starting cash, so every run goes faster than the last. The first Cash Out opens at one million dollars earned.
Do I earn money while I am away?
Yes. When you come back, your businesses pay out for the time you were gone, up to a limit of eight hours. Managers matter here too, since they multiply what each business earns while you are away.
Is it free, and is there a phone app?
It is free to play in your browser with no download or sign up, and your progress is saved in this browser. The same game is also available as an Android app.

Idle Business Tycoon is a business idle game in the incremental tradition. You begin with nothing but a few odd jobs and build a company one unit at a time. Each business has its own price that climbs with every unit you buy, and its own income that keeps flowing whether you are watching or not. Doubling bonuses arrive as you own more of a business, Managers triple what a business earns, and eight Ages open up eighty businesses in total, from a Lemonade Stand and a Food Truck up to a Space Elevator and a Stargate. When growth slows you can Cash Out, trade the whole empire for Angel Tokens and start again with permanent perks, which is where the long game lives. The numbers are big, the loop is short, and the best moment is coming back after a few hours to find your businesses have been busy.

How to Play

  1. Tap WORK to earn your first cash, then buy a Lemonade Stand and keep adding units.
  2. Hire a Manager to triple a business. Every 25 units owned doubles its output again.
  3. Use the BUY buttons to buy 1, 10 or as many as you can afford, and Better pay to raise what each WORK tap earns.
  4. Pay to advance to the next Age to reveal ten new businesses and boost the older ones.
  5. Open CASH OUT when growth slows. Angel Tokens buy permanent perks that make every later run faster.
