Hex Match

🔶

Match 3 or more gems on a hexagonal grid! Swap adjacent gems to create matches in 6 directions. Chain reactions and special gems for big combos!

How to Play

1.

Select a gem by clicking or tapping it on the hexagonal grid. The selected gem will glow with a white border.

2.

Swap with an adjacent gem by clicking a neighboring hex cell, or swipe in the direction you want to swap. On a hex grid, each cell has up to 6 neighbors. The swap only works if it creates a match of 3 or more identical gems in a line.

3.

Match 3+ gems in a line along any of the 6 hex directions (vertical, diagonal-left, diagonal-right). Longer matches score more points: 3 = 100, 4 = 300, 5+ = 500+.

4.

Chain reactions happen when new gems falling from above create additional matches. Each cascade level multiplies your score. Look for setups that trigger big combos!

5.

Special gems are created from matches of 4 or more gems. When matched, special gems explode and destroy all surrounding hex cells for bonus points.

6.

Game modes: In Timed Mode, you have 2 minutes to reach the target score. In Moves Mode, you have 30 moves. Each level increases the target score.

About Hex Match

Hex Match is a match-3 puzzle reimagined on a hexagonal grid, giving you six possible match directions instead of the usual four. Swap adjacent hexagonal tiles to form lines of three or more matching colors, which then disappear and are replaced by new tiles cascading from above. The hexagonal layout enables more creative chain reactions and opens up strategies impossible on a square grid. Special power-up tiles appear when you match four or more, capable of clearing entire rings or color types. Levels have score targets and move limits, pushing you to plan efficient sequences. Hex Match brings a genuinely fresh feel to the match-3 genre with its distinctive board geometry.

How to Play

  1. Swap two adjacent hexagonal tiles to create a line of 3 or more matching colors in any direction
  2. Watch matched tiles vanish and new ones cascade in, potentially triggering chain combos
  3. Match 4 or more tiles in one move to create special power-up tiles with area effects
  4. Reach the target score within the allowed number of moves to clear the level
