How do you play Fireboy and Watergirl?

Can Fireboy touch water?
No! Fireboy dies instantly if he touches water (blue liquid). Watergirl dies if she touches lava (red liquid). Both characters die if they touch the green slime. Each character can safely pass through their matching element — Fireboy is immune to lava and Watergirl is immune to water.
What do the pressure plates and doors do?
Orange pressure plates open orange doors, and blue pressure plates open blue doors. Either character can stand on a pressure plate to keep the door open. You often need to position one character on a plate while the other passes through the door — coordination is the key to later levels.
How many levels are in this game?
There are 5 levels, starting with an introduction to the controls and escalating through separated elemental paths, pressure plate puzzles, green slime mazes, and a grand finale combining all mechanics.

About Fireboy and Watergirl
Fireboy and Watergirl is a co-operative puzzle platformer where you control two elemental characters simultaneously. Fireboy is immune to lava but dies in water; Watergirl is at home in water but melts in lava. Neither can survive the toxic green slime scattered throughout the levels. The challenge comes from navigating both heroes through 5 hand-crafted puzzle levels, using pressure plates to open doors, avoiding elemental hazards, and getting each character to their matching exit portal. Can one person really control two characters at the same time? That is exactly the challenge — and the fun.
